Hello.
It started with dirt. Then clay, then paint, then latex, then polyester, epoxy, polyurethane, styrofoam, wood, steel, styrofoam, and of course, the universal brain solvent, a laptop.
I survived rigorous training at The San Francisco Art Institute and continue to work in the wilds of the Greater Bay Area creative
community, building sculptures, squirting rubber, and leaving a trail of classical Italian fountains, dragons, skulls, and rockscapes.
Hands-on, hands-in, hands-up, and hands-down, Gigantic Factory is the wildest get-in, get-on-it, get-it-done, open-all-night local corner store of sculptural services — and free matches.
Whaddaya want? Whaddaya got? Ever have a pocket full of bottle rockets go off in your pocket all at once? Best thirty seconds of MY life!

My Story
I grew up in Palo Alto, California, and attended the San Francisco Art Institute, scoring a BFA in Sculpture in 1981. To keep the lights on, I painted houses and played bass for a few years, until my head exploded.
I accidentally started Webwear Jewelry in 1985, making latex-rubber wearable art that sold nationwide in hundreds of boutiques, gift shops, major department stores, and fine arts museum shops.
In the early '90s, I started doing custom fabrication, and Gigantic Factory was born. So-named because I worked out of a 12'x40' garage with 7' ceilings in San Francisco's Mission District. I made stop-motion animation creatures, custom awards, architectural ornaments, custom molds, resin casts, prototypes, models, and many, many, original Italian fountains and garden ornaments. Even art restoration projects made their way into my portfolio.
In 2003, I moved to glorious Oakland. More room, more cred, and more and larger projects. Mammoth rocks, elephantine dragon heads, and Ruby Slippers in size 54.
